Wireless Network
Installations
Blue Dot Solutions provides certified installation professionals for high-end implementations from all the major wireless networking equipment manufacturers (Cisco, Symbol, Intermec, Proxim and Aironet). Our installation team adherer’s to all network standards for the multiple variations of wireless equipment providers. After the RF Site Survey and network design maps are completed and signed off, our next step is to install both cabling and power to the appropriate locations that were outlined in our documentation. Blue Dot will handle the task of data cabling but require our customers to provide AC power used with any/all access points specified in the RF Site Survey. All equipment required for the wireless data network installation will be inventoried, tested and configured with proper security, and set for go-live by our installation team. Blue Dot will also mount and configure all network infrastructure components for the mobile data capture network, and fully test to ensure complete network operation.
Upon completion of the wireless network certification test, Blue Dot will provide full documentation for the wireless implementation. This specifically includes an “Installation and Configuration Guide”, that will supplement previous Site Survey information. The installation and Configuration Guide will contain the network layout in a Visio drawing, “bill of lading” equipment list, and the responsible parties for each component of the solution. Blue Dot guarantees it’s installations for customer satisfaction for your personalized wireless data network.
Other
Installations
Blue Dot also provides installation services for our mobility solutions outside of wireless networking. These installations include such steps as setting up mobile device and cradling stations, installation of bar-code printers and related media, and the assurance that all mobility hardware is functioning properly with the intended software. As with its wireless network installation, Blue Dot will provide an Installation and Configuration Guide for the project installation process. This document will provide an overview to all the key points of the installation that will be useful for any future troubleshooting or repeat installations.
