Advanced Mobile for Infor® Profile

Infor, the fourth-largest enterprise application (ERP, SCM and CRM) global software vendor, announced a strategic partnership with Blue Dot in September2007, in which Infor would OEM Blue Dot’s industry-leading Packaged Mobile Application Platform under the commercial name Advanced Mobile for Infor.  Since that time, Infor and Blue Dot have built and released a large suite of out-of-the-box, fully integrated Packaged Mobile Applications that extend two Infor product applications within their ERP suite.

Today, there are six packaged mobile applications that extend Infor EAM Enterprise Edition, sold commercially as Advanced Mobile for Infor EAM.  Two out-of-the-box packaged mobile applications that extend Infor Distribution sold commercially as Advanced Mobile for ERP SX.enterprise and ERP A+.  One out-of-the-box packaged mobile application that extend Infor ERP System21, and one out-of-the-box packaged mobile application that extends Infor Hansen for Public Sector.  As part of the strategic partnership, Infor will additionally OEM Blue Dot’s Mobile Command Center for sophisticated mobile-application provisioning and device management.

All Packaged Mobile Applications are built on top of Advanced Mobile, Infor’s commercial name for Blue Dot’s Packaged Mobile Application Platform.  With the availability of Advanced Mobile Packaged Mobile Applications, Infor customers experience unparalleled business benefits and the best of both worlds: out-of-the-box fully integrated Packaged Mobile Applications that can be deployed in 5 -10 days, coupled with an industry-leading Packaged Mobile Application Platform that supports flexibility, scalability and responsiveness to changing business requirements.

Infor’s thought-leadership approach to enterprise mobile computing from an architectural perspective, rather than a tactical perspective, is supported by prestigious Gartner, the world’s leading information-technology research and advisory company.  According to a Gartner research publication, “Marketscope for Packaged Mobile Application Platforms, March 31, 2011,”Packaged Mobile Application Platforms represent the middle of a wide spectrum of choices. At one end of the spectrum are enterprises that custom develop nearly all software; at the other end are those that only use prebuilt point solutions.”

Today, Advanced Mobile for Infor Packaged Mobile Applications are running on a combination of Windows Mobile 5.0 and higher, Windows Phone, Windows, iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android operating system devices.
