Challenge
As business needs change and hardware and mobile technologies evolve, it is critical to have a reliable mechanism to manage application updates and changes. Unfortunately, with many products in the market today application updates are confusing for users, can cause unnecessary downtime, and do not allow proper management for tracking updates control at the administration level.

Applying mNOW!
The mNOW! Mobile Framework^® provides centralized provisioning of mobile applications and updates to remote devices through Deployment Packages.  Application scripts can be quickly and easily created and modified in the mNOW! ADT, then can be packaged, assigned and automatically distributed to one or more Device Groups and their associated mNOW! Runtime instances through the mNOW! Command Center.   Deployment Packages are retrieved over the air by the mNOW! Communication Agent upon the next synchronization process.  Such updates can represent newer (or older) versions of existing applications, new applications being deployed for the first time, mNOW! infrastructure updates (e.g. Communication Agent, Runtime) or non-mNOW! content such as system patches and/or configuration files.
