Challenge
As organizations deploy increasing numbers of mission critical mobile solutions, the need for enterprise-grade data reliability, security and recovery become imperative.

Applying mNOW!
The mNOW! Mobile Framework's^® Application Design Tool^® provides several control-level data validation properties (e.g. data type, minimum/maximum length, required) to facilitate the fast and effective validation of data while it is being entered at the source.  This capability significantly increases the accuracy of collected data and reduces the occurrence of back-end or integration errors.

The mNOW! Communication Agent and Runtime both use a 128-bit encrypted local data store for all application data as well as configuration settings, ensuring the security of such data in the event of a lost or stolen device. 

The mNOW! Communication Agent and Runtime are also designed to work with manufacturer provided device backup and restore utilities for full auto-recovery capabilities.  Both services automatically create backups of all configuration settings and authorization keys on all available non-volatile memory root folders.  Upon a hard reset, the device’s restore utility can be used to restore the mNOW! Communication Agent and Runtime which then scan the available non-volatile memory for configuration and authorization backups and restore them accordingly.
