Mincom is a leading global technology organization that provides enterprise solutions for asset-intensive industries. Their flagship product, Mincom Ellipse, is a leading enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution for asset-intensive industries; incorporating extensive asset & works, supply & logistics, and business intelligence functionality.
How We Work Together
Currently, Blue Dot Solutions has two mobile application integration points (via Web Services) to Mincom’s flagship product Ellipse. The Inventory Management mobile application focuses on inventory related job tasks (typically inside the four walls), and the Work Management mobile application focuses on traditional field service (outside the four walls) job related tasks.
Blue Dot’s mNOW! Mobile Framework® is the underlying mobile infrastructure for both mobile applications integrated to Mincom Ellipse. The infrastructure sets up the ability to support unique functionality such as; GIS/GPS, RFID processing, touch-screen operations, multi-dimensional barcode reading, custom screens/work flows and integration to other back end systems (ERP, HR, etc) within the enterprise. The mNOW! Mobile Framework avoids a one-for-one requirement by providing a powerful and flexible integration engine, and enterprises are now able to specify what information is communicated between a mobile device and virtually any backend application.
