mNOW! Application Design Tool

The mNOW! Application Design Tool^® (ADT) module is a state-of-the-art mobile design and configuration environment used to create, modify, and grow all mobile applications throughout the enterprise. The ADT is a GUI-based WYSIWYG toolset that leverages an easy-to-learn scripting language and utilizes an intuitive drag and drop approach for mobile application design and development for all mNOW!-based enterprise mobile applications. By creating and evolving all mobile applications within the ADT, enterprises will drive increased ROI from reduced IT support, decreased time to market, and unparalleled configurability for mobile application upgrades and new application deployment. Through its highly efficient mobile application design environment, both enterprise developers and non-developers control the ability to modify and grow any mobile application all on their own.

The ADT is fully integrated with the other tool and components of the mNOW! Mobile Framework to provide an end-to-end enterprise mobility platform supporting the design, development, testing, deployment, management and support of mobile workforce solutions.

Components

Mobile Form Designer
Similar to most visual development environments, the Mobile Form Designer supports the drag and drop, WYSISYG design of mobile application forms.  Through a toolbox of common GUI controls, a design canvas and a highly optimized property editor, developers and non-developers alike can quickly design and prototype mNOW!-based mobile applications for a variety of form factors.

Datamap Designer
The Datamap Designer is a graphical tool for mapping data structures to and from mobile application forms.  By simply drawing lines between graphical representations of database tables and forms, mobile application designers can quickly create sophisticated data maps for their mNOW! mobile applications – binding data to forms has never been easier!

Runtime Debugger
The Runtime Debugger allows standard line-by-line debugging of mNOW!-based mobile applications, complete with breakpoints, local and global parameter inspection, and step, stop, run and pause commands.

Code Editor
With efficiency features such as syntax highlighting and collapsible code blocks, the Code Editor provides a high performance scripting environment for writing mobile application event and business logic.
