mNOW!^® Mobile Framework

April 5, 2007, Denver, CO – Hunt Refining Company is a petroleum refining and marketing company that owns and operates a 52,000 barrel per-day refinery, and provides its customers with a variety of high-quality products such as gasoline, fuel and oil. Hunt Refining has selected Blue Dot’s mNOW!® Mobile Framework as a strategic, enterprise-wide mobile infrastructure platform for a variety of mobile initiatives.

Hunt Refining has also engaged Blue Dot's Professional Services group to tailor the mNOW! Inventory Management Business Application Template to meet Hunt-specific inventory and storeroom management business processes. Specifically, the new mobile storeroom application will automate several currently manual transactions including storeroom issues, inventory adjustments, transfers, cycle counts, and lookups. Hunt Refining will use the Psion Teklogix WORKABOUT PRO mobile devices with integrated barcode scanner in conjunction with the mNOW! Mobile Framework to electronically capture data and synchronize this information with JD Edwards World in a real-time environment. The resulting solution will allow more accurate data capture, more efficient use of labor, and position Hunt Refining maintenance personnel to be prepared for operations expansion.

Moving forward, Hunt Refining plans on implementing additional mNOW!-based mobile applications to support other business processing within the company including work order management, inspections, and additional inventory functionality. Blue Dot's mNOW! Work Management and Inspections & Audits Mobile Business Application Templates will be leveraged to address both of these key areas.
