Family Dollar Stores selects the
mNOW!® Mobile Framework

May 7, 2007, Denver, CO – Family Dollar Stores, Inc., recently ranked the 11th largest general merchandiser in the United States by Fortune 500 magazine, has selected Blue Dot’s mNOW! Mobile Framework as their enterprise-wide mobile infrastructure platform.

Blue Dot Professional Services will work with Family Dollar IT to tailor the mNOW! Mobile Business Application Template for a broad range of inventory management functions, which replaces Family Dollar’s legacy DOS-based retail mobile application. The deployment will take place in two phases, initially as a pilot to 300 Family Dollar Stores, followed by a planned rollout to all Family Dollar Stores across the United States. Beyond this initial project, the mNOW! Mobile Framework and Blue Dot’s growing set of Mobile Business Applications will be used to rapidly create flexible mobile solutions across all lines of Family Dollar’s business.
